Board Meetings

 

The Citizen Complaint Authority Board meetings are held monthly. 

Date:        The first Monday of each month (unless otherwise stated)

Time:         5:00 p.m.

                   Cincinnati, OH 45202

Complainants and involved officers are notified in advance when complaints are scheduled to be reviewed by the Board. 

The public may attend the meeting in person, view the proceedings on CitiCable, Spectrum Channel 23, or Fioptic Channel 800. The meeting will also be conducted by video-conference. The public may contact the CCA at (513) 352-1600 with any questions, Monday - Friday from 8:00 - 4:00 p.m.


The purpose of the Citizen Complaint Authority Board is the following:

  • to review each investigative report to confirm completeness of the Citizen Complaint Authority investigation; and   

  • to approve or disapprove the Executive Director’s report (findings and recommendations).

The Citizen Complaint Authority Board’s meeting shall not be an adversarial proceeding or used to reinvestigate the complaint. The Citizen Complaint Authority Board may receive witness testimony, including that of the complainant, the complainants’ witnesses and/or police officer(s). As a complainant, you are encouraged and welcome to attend the Board meeting regarding your complaint.

The Citizen Complaint Authority Board may either approve or disapprove the Executive Director’s findings and recommendations. Where the findings are approved, they shall be submitted to the Police Chief and City Manager. If they are disapproved, the Citizen Complaint Authority Board shall state its reasons and may request that further investigation be pursued. The Citizen Complaint Authority Board may issue its own findings and recommendations and submit them, along with the Executive Director’s original report, to the Police Chief and City Manager.
