Completing Your Project

Completing Your Project

Although it is essential that you complete the inspection process, you don't have to finish your project during any fixed time period.

From the day you pick up the permit, you are allowed one year to begin work on your project.

Once construction begins, you must continue to work on your project so that the permit doesn't expire.

When work is completed, you need to call to schedule your Final Inspection.

When all final inspections have been successfully completed, the Building Inspector may issue a Certificate of Occupancy (if required for your project).
