Holidays Will Delay Trash, Recycling & Yard Waste Collection
Residents Can Take Advantage Of Upcoming Amnesty Days
Christmas Day is Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013. City of Cincinnati employees will observe this holiday. As a result, trash, recycling, and yard waste collection will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.
New Year’s Day is Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014. City of Cincinnati employees will observe this holiday. As a result, trash, recycling, and yard waste collection will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week.
Winter Holiday Amnesty Days are Dec. 26, 2013 - Jan. 4, 2014. During Trash Amnesty Weeks, residents may set out additional trash in sealed plastic trash bags next to their approved City-provided container. Plastic bags should not be over stuffed.
Amnesty weeks are centered around holidays when households typically generate more trash than normal.
During Amnesty Weeks, residents must still call 591-6000 to schedule a special pickup for bulky items.
Holiday Tree Drop-Off
Cincinnati residents can drop off their holiday tree any day from Sunday, Dec 29, 2013 to Friday Jan 10, 2014 at 3320 Millcreek Road. Remember, all decorations must be removed first.
City residents may also set their tree out on their normal trash collection day for pickup.
All Hamilton County residents can drop off their trees at designated sites Saturday Jan 4 or 11, 2014, from Noon to 3 p.m. A list of Hamilton County drop-off locations can be found online.
