Carole Sund/Carrington Foundation Offers Reward

Cincinnati Police Homicide Unit investigators will hold a news conference at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday March 18 at the Criminal Investigation Section, 824 Broadway, to announce a reward for information on a homicide that occurred last month.  The murder of Justin Ray Parks remains unsolved, and now the Carole Sund/Carrington Foundation has offered a $5000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for this homicide.  Mr. Parks’ mother Donella Griffin will speak at the news conference to urge witnesses to come forward and assist detectives in the case.  Anyone with information can call the Criminal Investigation Section at 352-3542 or Crime Stoppers at 352-3040.
Police and Fire units were dispatched shortly before 10:00 p.m. Sunday February 17 when an anonymous caller reported that there had been a shooting, and that a vehicle being operated erratically had crashed into a fence at 1710 Elmore Street.  Paramedics and police officers discovered Mr. Parks inside the vehicle; he had been fatally shot.

Francis and Carole Carrington established the Carole Sund/Carrington Foundation to assist victims’ families by providing support and resources.  They view the rewards as a tool to help law enforcement find missing persons and to bring perpetrators to justice.  The foundation has paid more than $250,000 in rewards to citizens who did the right thing by coming forward and sharing information they had.
