INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Mayor Mark Mallory's Office
An internship with the Office of the Mayor is a great opportunity for students to develop both personally and professionally. Interns will experience city government firsthand. Successful interns with the Mayor's Office are those who are able to work in a fast-paced, rapid-response work environment. An intern's responsibilities will vary in nature
The dates for the internship sessions are as follows:
- Spring (January to May)
- Summer 1 (May to August)
- Summer 2 (June to September)
- Fall (September to December)

Positions Available
| Community Affairs Intern | Communications Intern | Legislative Intern |
- Assist in the development and execution of programs/initiatives from the Mayor's office
- Conduct correspondence with various constituency groups in absence of the Community Liaison
| - Write press releases, talking points, and other promotional materials
- Help manage the Mayor's website
- Plan and coordinate media events
- Research and respond to inquiries from the media
| - Conduct policy research
- Track City Council Meetings/Legislation
- Plan and implement seminars focusing on small business development
