The Office of Performance & Data Analytics’s (OPDA) data team develops connections to various data sources throughout City Government. These sources vary from department data warehouses, specialized applications, or centralized reporting tables in Excel or Access if needed.
These data connections are then integrated into the OPDA enterprise data warehouse using the Feature Manipulation Engine (FME) platform. Once the data is integrated into the OPDA warehouse, the data team can curate public facing data views for further analysis and visualization. Internal analyses created by the office's data analytics team are then used to more deeply examine the City’s outputs to create plans for data-driven improvement and optimization, leading better outcomes for the community. OPDA’s data visualization platform, CincyInsights, provides user-friendly dashboards that distill city data to its most accessible form.
