One Alarm Structure Fire at 3818 River Rd. – Sedamsville

District Fire Chief Gregory A. Potter with the Cincinnati Fire Department reporting on a One-Alarm structure fire that occurred in the Sedamsville neighborhood of Cincinnati in the early morning of August 14, 2013. At 5:41 AM the Cincinnati Emergency Communications Center received a telephone call reporting a structure fire at 3818 River Rd.

Initial arriving units reported light smoke from the attic of a one story frame building. The fire was contained to the attic and quickly brought under control in approximately 10 minutes. All occupants had exited the building prior to the Fire Department’s arrival.

Damage is estimated at $5,000. There were no reported injuries. Cause of the fire was determined to be electrical in nature. There were 32 fire personnel operating on the scene for approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.
