The structure, a large, wood frame, 3 story dwelling was pushing heavy smoke from several 2nd and 3rd floor windows.  Firefighters were able to aggressively attack the fire on the second floor and extinguish prior to fire extension into the 3rd floor and roof areas.   The fire was knocked down in approximately 10 minutes.

The owner of the property is currently away on vacation, but the son is staying at the residence and was outside when firefighters arrived.  The son stated he had noticed a burning, electrical smell on the second floor in the days preceding the fire.

Damage is estimated at $25,000.  The actual cause at this time is still undetermined. Thirty-two firefighters were utilized at this incident.  There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.
