District Fire Chief Duane Herth of the Cincinnati Fire Department reported a one-alarm structure fire that occurred in the community of Price Hill at 09:19 am this morning. The Cincinnati Emergency Communications Center received multiple calls.
Initial responding fire crews reported heavy smoke in the area. The initial crews confirmed a working fire in a 2 story, 2-family with heavy fire on the first floor on the ‘A’ side of the building. Crews made an aggressive interior attack on the fire. The fire had extended to the second floor by via the exterior walls.
There was one minor injury to one occupant and no reported injuries to firefighters. Damage is estimated at $60,000.00 to the fire building. The cause of the fire is undetermined and currently under investigation at this time. Forty-two firefighters responded to this emergency. The American Red Cross was called to assist the 4-adults that were displaced. The building department was also notified to respond due to the extent of the damage.
