Waldvogel Viaduct

Waldvogel Viaduct

The 3½ year-long, $55 million construction project to rehabilitate the Sixth Street Expressway and remove the old, deteriorated Waldvogel/Sixth Street Viaduct is substantially complete and all lanes were opened to traffic on 12/1/2014. The old, deteriorated viaduct was replaced with a new widened roadway and four new ramp bridges to Warsaw and Elberon Avenues.

Minor work is expected to extend into 2015, and the City continues to develop gateway enhancement plans for this area.

Additionally, the Ohio Department of Transportation expects to conduct work on the westbound Sixth Street Expressway bridge deck over the Mill Creek in mid 2015.
