The Neighborhood Stabilization Homebuyer Assistance (NSPHA) was created to assist low-, moderate-, and middle-income homebuyers purchase single-family homes. Home buyers at or below 120% of the Area Median Income (AMI) are eligible to receive help with downpayment and closing costs.
NSPHA additionally has the potential to provide a principle write-down on an NSP property. Approved applicants receive grants up to $14,999 in assistance (grant amount is dependent upon income). In order to be eligible, NSPHA homebuyers must purchase homes that have been rehabbed with Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) funds in the designated neighborhoods:
