Thanksgiving Day Run to Affect Traffic in Urban Core

CINCINNATI – Several streets in Cincinnati's urban core will close for a few hours on Thursday, Nov. 28 for the Thanksgiving Day Run.
The annual event will take hundreds of runners on a course throughout Downtown Cincinnati, Over-the-Rhine, the riverfront area and into Northern Kentucky on Thanksgiving morning. In order to accommodate this event, the following streets will close at 8 a.m. on race day and remain closed until about noon that same day.
- Second Street - closed (all access to Second Street will close at 7 a.m.)
- Vine Street - closed between Freedom Way and Liberty Street
- Third Street - closed between Walnut Street and Race Street
- Fourth Street - closed between Walnut Street and Race Street
- Fifth Street - closed between Race Street and Walnut Street
- Sixth Street - closed between Walnut Street and Race Street
- Seventh Street - closed between Race Street and Walnut Street
- Eighth Street - closed between Walnut Street and Race Street
- Ninth Street - closed between Walnut Street and Race Street
- Court Street - closed between Walnut Street and Race Street
- Central Parkway - closed between Race Street and Walnut Street
- Twelfth Street - closed between Race Street and Walnut Street
- Thirteenth Street - closed between Walnut Street and Race Street
- Fourteenth Street - closed between Race Street and Walnut Street
- Liberty Street - eastbound closed between Race Street and Reading Road
- Reading Road - closed between Liberty Street and Eggleston Avenue
- Eggleston Avenue - closed between Reading Road and E. Pete Rose Way
- E Pete Rose Way - closed between Broadway and Eggleston Avenue
- Mehring Way - closed between Johnny Bench Way and E. Pete Rose Way
- Elm Street - closed between Second Street and Mehring Way (closes at 7:00 a.m.)
- Race Street - closed south of Third Street (closes at 7:00 a.m.)
- Freedom Way - closed between Walnut Street and Elm Street (closes at 7:00 a.m.)
- Taylor Southgate Bridge - closed
- Clay Wade Bailey Bridge - closed
DRIVERS ARE REMINDED TO USE CAUTION AROUND THE EVENT SITE AND TO USE ALTERNATE ROUTES IF POSSIBLE.
