Winter Operations: March 6, 2013
The National Weather Service forecast is:
Today: Mostly cloudy. Snow likely this morning...then a chance of flurries this afternoon. Additional snow accumulation less than an inch. Highs in the mid 30s. North winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of snow 70 percent.
City crews continue treating and plowing area roadways as snow continues to fall. Primary routes remain the focus at this time.
Crews are continuing to work around the clock as new and blowing snow work against their efforts.
It will take some time before crews are able to shift focus to residential streets.
Please be patient as we fight to make the roads as safe as possible.
Be careful if you have to be out on the road this morning! Give yourself extra time to reach your destination or make arrangements for a late arrival.
