Winter Operations: Dec. 27, 2012
The National Weather Service is forecasting:
- Today: Mostly cloudy. Highs in the lower 30s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph.
Primary roadways have responded well to treatment, though slick spots may still remain.
Overnight, may side streets turned from slushy to icy and hazardous.
We are asking for continued patience as crews continue working on area roadways this morning, with most of the focus having shifted to residential streets.
Continue to be alert when driving.
What Citizens Should Expect:
Road conditions should continue today but refreezing could be likely tonight. Dropping temperatures will result in slicker roads.
If possible, park off the street in residential neighborhoods today. This will enable our crew’s efforts to be more effective in your neighborhood.
Please give operators the extra distance they need to perform their jobs safely!
