Winter Operations: Dec. 27, 2012 (Evening)
The National Weather Service is forecasting:
- Tonight: Mostly cloudy in the evening...then becoming partly cloudy. Lows 15 to 20. North winds around 5 mph...becoming east after midnight.
Most City roads have responded well to the treatments of the last couple days. Isolated trouble spots remain and crews will continue tonight to improve conditions in those locations.
Extreme cold temperatures tonight will likely cause any wet ares to refreeze and create hazardous conditions.
Continue to be alert when driving, especially during the overnight hours.
What Citizens Should Expect:
Road conditions have improved significantly today but refreezing in areas is likely tonight. Dropping temperatures will result in slicker roads.
