TQL To Create 80 New Jobs In Westwood
Deal Brings Jobs To Cincinnati For The Next 10 Years, Grows City's Tax Base
Total Quality Logistics will create 80 new jobs in Westwood as part of a Job Creation Tax Credit agreement approved this week by Cincinnati City Council.
TQL, headquartered in Milford, Ohio, will locate a new 10,452-square-foot sales and service support center in a vacant portion of the Glenway Crossing Shopping Center. This new location gives TQL access to a labor pool largely untapped by the company today.
To receive the 50% Job Creation Tax Credit over a five-year period, TQL has agreed to create 80 new jobs within three years and remain in the city for 10 years. The company's payroll will increase to over $3 million after hiring the workers.
The deal brings nearly $600,000 in net new tax revenue to the City over the course of the 10-year deal.
TQL is the nation's second-largest freight brokerage firm. They specialize in arranging the transportation of full truckload shipments for thousands of companies across the country and various industry segments. TQL's more than 2,000 logistics professionals facilitate the movement of over 500,000 truckload shipments each year for more than 7,000 shipping customers.
