Seven Local Artists To Receive Grants Up To $6,000
New Arts Program Looks to Enhance Cincinnati's Creative Life
Cincinnati has begun accepting applications for seven individual artist grants of up to $6,000 as part of the new Cincinnati Arts Ambassador Fellowship Program.
Artists who work professionally in their art disciplines are encouraged to apply for the grant that intends to help artists realize a creative vision and encourage the growth and development of the arts in Cincinnati. The application deadline is Aug. 31, 2012, at 4 p.m.
The Cincinnati Arts Allocation Committee, recently appointed by Mayor Mark Mallory, will select seven artists to receive the grants by October. Artists will be chosen based on a variety of criteria, including quality of work and potential to enrich the art community of Cincinnati.
"Arts Fellowships will make Cincinnati a more creative place to live, work and play," said committee member Tracey Lynn Conrad.
Artists must be residents of the City of Cincinnati.
