The City of Cincinnati is in the process of conducting a search for the next chief of the Cincinnati Police Department. Our goal is to ensure a transparent, inclusive, and community-driven process that results in the appointment of a police chief that can best serve our community.

On November 18, City Manager Sheryl Long is announced her final four candidates for the next Cincinnati Police Chief. In alphabetical order they are:
- Larry Boone
- Todd Chamberlain
- Lisa Davis
- Teresa Theetge
Community Input
As part of the selection process, the City is hosted two community forums to provide an opportunity for the public to interact with the finalists directly.

Community members who attended the forums in person were able to submit written questions to be posed to the four finalists by a moderator. Each finalist was given 2 minutes to answer the question. All finalists were given the opportunity to answer each question. Those unable to attend in person were able to follow along via CitiCable and Facebook Live.
Additionally, during the month of September, the City designed and published a survey to solicit community insights into the qualities and expertise residents want to see in our next chief. The feedback collected in this survey is critical to the process, and will be directly used throughout this search. The survey closed on October 9 with 181 responses collect.
