Feasibility Study Completed for Wasson Way Trail
The Wasson Way nonprofit organization has released the results of a Feasibility Study conducted by local engineering and design firm KZF Design. In addition to engineering feasibility, the study developed cost estimates for three potential alignments. The City is currently negotiating with Norfolk Southern to purchase the railroad right-of-way throughout the corridor, and the City and the Wasson Way nonprofit organization have applied for several grants to fund design of the trail.
“The Wasson Way Trail will be a huge asset to our City, providing significant health, recreational, and economic benefits,” says City of Cincinnati Mayor John Cranley.
The Wasson Way Trail will be a 6.5 mile trail linking Xavier University, five Cincinnati neighborhoods, four municipalities, and the beginning of the 75-mile Little Miami Scenic Trail.
